Offenburg – „City of Wine“

Located in the heart of the Ortenau wine region, Offenburg is one of the largest wine districts in the region of Baden-Württemberg. The exquisite wines are famous across borders. Vineyards spread over 230 hectares and picturesque wine villages adorn Offenburg's surroundings. Wineries along the Baden Wine Route invite you to savour the region's best wines.

The annual wine markets and festivals are part of Offenburg's long wine tradtition. Baden's largest wine market - since 1995 called "Baden Wine Fair" - was first held 130 years ago. Every year at the end of September, 50,000 wine lovers meet to savour fine wines at Ortenau Wine Festival. Every village in the region have their own wine festival where visitors can learn all about viniculture and savour different wines by local producers.
